RISK.EXE (Financial Risk Analysis by Simulation)
Based on the work of David Hertz (HERTZ, David B. Risk analysis in capital investment. Harvard Business Review, 42(1), Jan./Feb.1964). Given a cash flow, Risk.exe determines the statistical distribution of the Internal Rate of Return, Financial Payback and of the Net Present Value, if it is known the range of variation of each component of the cash flow. Here is an example of an investment project and the corresponding result of the simulation. An explanation in Portuguese may be found here.
